Jay-Z is back from "retirement" with a new album packed with guest appearances from Beyonce, Usher, Pharrell Williams, John Legend and producers such as Just Blaze, Dr. Dre, Kanye West and The Neptunes.
The album itself is not bad at all, at first listen, and improves the more you hear it. A lot of credit goes out to the producers and artists as they really helped to make this a good album. Which I'm sure is what Jay-Z intended.

MY ALBUM RATING: 7/10

Casino Royale

I thought it was about time to include some films in the blog. I begin with the new James Bond film of Casino Royale. James is played by Daniel Craig who doesn't seem like the typical James Bond. Despite beating Clive Owen and Colin Farell to the role, he was greeted with an anti-Craig protests because of his 'ugly non-James Bond look'.

In my opinion the film is actually very good. To my surprise from start to finish it was action packed with car chases and explosion following the trend of other 007 movies. But this had a touch of 21st century and looked amazing. As for Daniel Craig, he was a very convincing actor pulling of a lot of athleticism and quiet frankly looked good for the part.

My Rating: 8/10

Akon returns with the new album Konvicted after his success with his debut album Trouble. The album features Eminem in the the first single 'Smack That' and Snoop Dogg in his second single 'I Wanna Love You'. It also sees the return of Styles P who featured in his debut single Locked Up.

I actually like this album, nice beats and productions with some nice choices guest appearances. It has a couple of slow tracks which we know he can do following 'Lonely' from his first album

MY ALBUM RATING: 7/10

Fat Joe - Me, Myself and I

Fat Joe
Me, Myself and I

1. Pendemic (Prod. By Streetrunner)
2. Damn (Prod. By L.V.)
3. The Profit (w/ Lil' Wayne) (Prod. By DJ Khaled)
4. No Drama (Clap & Revolve) (Prod. By The Runners)
5. Breathe And Stop (w/ The Game) (Prod. By Nu Jerzey Devil)
6. She's My Mama (Prod. By Streetrunner)
7. Make It Rain (w/ Lil' Wayne) (Prod. By Scott Storch)
8. Jealousy (Prod. By L.V.)
9. Think About It (Prod. By Scott Storch)
10. Hard Not To Kill (Prod. By L.V.)
11. Bendicion Mami (Prod. By Streetrunner)
12. Story To Tell (Prod. By DJ Khaled)

Once again the main single 'Make it Rain' is produced by Scott Storch, the song is quiet catchy with Lil Wayne doing the Chorus. The video is a typical hip hop video with money, "bling" and of course women. It has several guest appearances from DJ Khaled, Birdman and P. Diddy.

This Album is really not bad at all. It doesn't have a lot of other artist featuring in the songs apart from Lil Wayne and The Game. Production wise StreetRunner & Grind Music each do 3 songs, Scott Storch & DJ Khaled do 2 songs each and The Runners and Nu Jerzey Devil each do a track.

MY ALBUM RATING: 8/10

Chingy: Hoodstar

Chingy's album Hoodstar includes Pulling Me Back F/ Tyrese and his next single Dem Jeans.

To be honest overall im not a fan of this album, its similar to his old album with the beats being slightly better. But with every album theres are always "the likeable" songs.

-> Dem Jeans
Apart from the excellent array of women in the video, the song is just a typical Chingy song which I can say is decent. Although it was nice of him to release a fans only video...

Check out the videos here:
